Still crabby, but vet gives me a clean bill of health

I'm still crabby, but Rachel took me to the vet and even had them take a blood sample (OUCH!).  I purred through the whole thing, which made it hard for the vet to hear my heart beat -- but she said it seemed fine.  I am OVERGROOMING myself and probably have a flea allergy, so even without a sign of a single flea, they're going to put Advantage on Frontline on me.  (Hasn't happened yet.)  My bloodwork came back fine -- I'm negative for all the usual feline diseases.  I guess NEGATIVE in this case means GOOD. -- Mia

Vet visit on Monday

Rachel noticed I'm feeling crabby and don't seem my usual self, so I'm visiting the vet on Monday. -- Mia

Cozy Warm ... Laptop Power Brick????

I stretched out tonight next to Rachel, and rested my chin on the warm power brick for her laptop while she answered email.

Wednesday, May 12

Cold snap -- Rachel put the heat back on!!!  Purr.   Had fishy treats after she got back from work (I did; *she* had some chicken paprika), then I went back to basking on the couch. -- Mia

Into the Back Yard

Today, in a harness and on a leash, I went into the back yard.  I yowled fiercely at the other cats I could smell, though I only saw one, leaving the front porch.  The yard is mostly L-shaped, and I investigated several areas, including the doorway to the basement.  Then I went back inside the house and had a treat. -- Mia

Treats and Purrs

Here I am, half under the covers, being petted.

And this is my paw, grabbing toward my new favorite treats. -- Mia

It's Not So Bad Here

Rachel might be all right. Here I am, curled up next to her on the bed. My old blankie is right here, of course. (And look at my beautiful claws!) -- Mia

Purrs in the Night

About 1 a.m., I decided to come out of hiding, and I spent some time on Rachel's bed, getting petted and purring. I even found my food bowl and ate a little. But then I decided it was probably safer under the bed.

March 15 at Rachel's

I'm at Rachel's, but I don't want to come out of my cage. I didn't mind the ride home (and she stopped and picked up a bag of WHISKAS, my favorite food!), but there was a smelly orange male cat on her porch that she fed, and now I'm inside her house. She put my blanket on her bed, and poured some dried food into a dish, but I'm staying put. -- Mia

I have met Rachel

Here I am with Mike.

Mike put me into a cage and took me downtown to his office, where I met Rachel. I'm nervous, but she seems okay. Mike gave Rachel a lot of food for me, and my favorite blanket. I hope I'll be okay.
